The Coalition is currently focusing on several priority areas:
* Encouraging safe, positive Off-Campus Living experiences for students, and promoting a collaborative, connected relationship between students and their non-student neighbors.
* Continuing the collaborative work of the Hospitality Resource Alliance (a group of community partners, including entertainment establishments, alcohol retailers, City of Bellingham representatives, community members, and law enforcement) to promote sound business practices that influence customers to make healthy choices about their drinking and promote safe settings for public life.
*Continuing and expanding the Advice on Tap program (AOT is a crew of students who visit local bars and share information about safe drinking behavior and appropriate conduct in a bar setting)
*Promoting community-wide discussions on a range of topics related to substance abuse, health & safety, and community connection.
